About RankRoot

RankRoot checks whether search engines, AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Overviews) and AI agents can read a website, understand what it sells and recommend it, then gives the exact files and fixes to close the gaps.

Who runs it

RankRoot is a small, independent and bootstrapped product, built and run from Taipei, Taiwan, since October 2026. There are no investors and no ads. Revenue comes only from the paid plans (Traffic Boost $49 once, AI Visibility Employee $149/month).

How the audit works

• Our crawler, RankRootBot, fetches the page, robots.txt, sitemap.xml, llms.txt and well-known agent files exactly as a bot would, without running JavaScript.
• The AI visibility score (0-100) weighs 22 checks in four groups: AI crawler access, answer-ready content, structured data and agent readiness.
• The Google SEO health score weighs technical SEO, content quality and trust (E-E-A-T), on-page SEO, schema, performance, AI readiness and images, following the category weights of the open-source claude-seo audit methodology.
• Core Web Vitals come from Google's PageSpeed Insights (Chrome UX Report field data when Google has it).
• Facts about AI crawlers and website builders are taken from each vendor's own documentation and linked as sources on every page.

Public data

The AI Visibility Index (546 sites), the YC dataset and the 2026 study are free to use under CC BY 4.0. Spot a mistake in a score or a fact? Tell us and we'll fix it.
